As women, midlife can be one of the most challenging times in our lives. Juggling the pressures of work, family, relationships and fluctuating hormones can leave us feeling overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted.
During this time we may start to feel different, and begin experiencing an array of changes in our bodies and minds. We may feel a bit more anxious, have bouts of low mood, start forgetting things or struggle to concentrate. We may also experience physical changes that hormonal fluctuations can bring, like hot flushes, joint pain and difficulty sleeping.
Perimenopause signals can begin showing up as early as our late thirties, and can last for many years before our cycles come to an end and we enter our post-menopausal years. Oftentimes we don't even realise we are making this transition which can leave us feeling overwhelmed, less confident and lost.
